There needs to be more community spaces in the villages.

There could be a regional community centre at the Siu Ying school building in Lai Chi Wo. The Siu Ying memory project could be used to bring together villagers from all over the region because they share these memories and experiences.

Community events could integrate the diaspora as well. Social and cultural learning activities and/or events at the village level would create a sense of community ownership and belonging.

Village Social Spaces would provide physical and virtual public spaces for residents to practice high quality community life, engage in social activities, preserve cultural traditions, and enable long-distance communication.
